How Creators Can Use LinkedIn to 10x Their Money
Not (entirely) YouTube

🐐 LinkedIn is incredible. No way around it. Reid Hoffman is a kingmaker.
This year alone I did over $150k worth of revenue and partnerships because of my LinkedIn Presence.
Today we’ll break down:
LinkedIn Best Practices
Building a Company with LinkedIn in-mind
Ways To Monetize LinkedIn (it’s not all sponsorships)
The Audience of Your Audience
On YouTube, your audience derives value from the content you create for them. Simple.
On LinkedIn, your audience derives value from the opportunities you can provide for them.
Here are some Dos and Don’ts For Communicating With Your LinkedIn Audience
✅ DO
Post about successful campaigns
Use images from those campaigns
Tag the brand
Ask first, but tag and thank the PR rep you worked with on the campaign. They’ll interact with the post and share it with their network of marketers.
Share valuable wins (subscribers or views milestones, expansions into new content verticals) as often as you can
Add relevant connections frequently
❌ DONT
Post long videos or wordy-posts
People scroll through LinkedIn passively. It’s more about associating your face and name with success than the details of a specific campaign
Scaling LinkedIn 📈
It’s unofficially mandatory that every Feature Media employee is active on LinkedIn.
Obviously, more people on LinkedIn means more opportunities to be seen
It’s very normal for my DMs to get lost in the shuffle
If you’re in a place where people are asking to be your manager and close brand partnerships for you, always vet their LinkedIn.
If they’re not frequently posting, they’re probably missing out on opportunities, which means you’re missing out on opportunities.
Speaking of Opportunity…
So, here’s a rough breakdown of money we’ve made from LinkedIn
In brand partnerships alone, we’ve logged about $60,000 from inbound LinkedIn requests and cold DMs.
A large brand partnered with us for $50,000 just because they saw my LinkedIn posts and thought of me when they had a creator-campaign budget
I’ve gotten over $50,000 in free trips this year from brands who see how consistently I post about my travel partnerships on LinkedIn
I don’t tell you that to flex. It’s a testament to how important just staying in front of people with money is.
The Creator Economy is the attention economy, and you need the attention of sponsors just as much as your audiences’ attention. Learn how you can build successful brand partnerships with Creator Cashflow.
